"The affection of the people cannot be proscribed": Evo Morales expressed his support for Cristina Kirchner.

"The affection of the people cannot be proscribed": Evo Morales expressed his support for Cristina Kirchner.

Former Bolivian President Evo Morales expressed his support forCristina Kirchner , the former Argentine president convicted in the Vialidad case . Hundreds of protesters marched toward Plaza de Mayo in defense of the Justicialist Party (PJ) leader, who, in addition to the six years in prison, will be barred from holding public office again.

Taking this into account, the former Bolivian president published a photograph of the demonstration and wrote: " The affection of the people cannot be proscribed . No sentence will be able to erase from the collective memory that decade of dignity, prosperity, and social justice that Argentina experienced."

" All our solidarity with sister Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and our respect for the Argentine people mobilized for truth and democracy," Evo Morales completed on his X account in defense of the former president, as did the president of Brazil, Lula Da Silva, who will arrive in Buenos Aires in the coming weeks to meet with her.

In this way, Cristina Kirchner garners international support from South America after being convicted by the Supreme Court in the Highways case. Her lawyer maintained that the case is riddled with irregularities and that they will file a complaint with the Inter-American Court to suspend the case because the judges of the highest court were not impartial in their opinion.

Last week, when the Supreme Court announced its ruling, Evo Morales also expressed his outrage on social media over the conviction of the former president, with whom he has a close relationship: "With profound indignation, I express my solidarity with my sister @CFKArgentina, her family, and the revolutionary people of Argentina. The unjust sentence of six years in prison and lifelong disqualification is nothing more than political persecution to banish a popular leader," he stated.

"We are experiencing a rerun of Plan Condor: it is no longer the military serving the empire; now it is judges subservient to the oligarchies who execute judicial coups against those who defend sovereignty and the rights of the majority. We call for unity and mobilization of the Argentine people in defense of democracy . Cristina is not alone. From the heart of the Great Homeland, we join the fight against lawfare and for a free, dignified, and sovereign Latin America," he added.

The affection of the people cannot be stifled. No ruling can erase from the collective memory that decade of dignity, prosperity, and social justice that Argentina experienced.
